Account Opening Process


What documents do I need to open a bank account as a foreigner?
The required documents including
  1. Valid passport
  2. NON-IMM Visa
  3. Document for purpose of stay (based on your condition)

* Tourist visa or DTV visa or visa on arrival are not accepted for account opening.
What are the steps to open a Thai bank account as a foreigner?
There are 3 easy steps to open an account with LH Bank:
  1. Prepare the passport and the necessary documents as required by the bank.
  2. Visit any LH Bank branch for account opening or selected LH Bank Branch with a passport verification machine for account opening and mobile banking application registration.

  3. Complete the application form and open your account.
Can I open an account online before arriving in Thailand?
Foreign customers are required to open accounts in person at a bank branch only and provide a valid residential address in Thailand.
How do I close my bank account?
You can visit any LH Bank branch to close your deposit account. However, current accounts must be closed at the branch where they were originally opened.
*Early closure of a deposit account may incur fees. Please refer to the specific product documents for detailed terms and conditions.

How can I apply for LH Bank mobile banking application
Please bring your valid passport and passbook to apply at LH Bank branch that has a passport verification machine.

*The registered phone number must be registered under the same name as the customer.
What should I do if I forget mobile banking Username or Password?
Please contact our Call Center at 1327 to request a temporary password. Your username will be sent to your registered email, and a temporary password (valid for 30 minutes) will be sent via SMS to your registered Thai mobile number.

How can I make an appointment at a branch in advance to open a bank account?
You can schedule an appointment at your preferred LH Bank branch through the "Appointment" menu on our website. Simply fill in your personal information, select the branch, date, and time you wish to visit.

*Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance during business hours and no more than 30 days ahead.
How can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
